Fast forward to today, and I’m selling over a billion dollars in real estate every year. It all started with the step you’re about to take! Sound good? Now, I’ll go into more detail on how to get your Connecticut Real Estate License:

Sign Up For A 60-Hour Real Estate Practices And Principles Course

You can sign up right now for the 60-hour real estate practices and principles course that I offer through my Sell It Like Serhant New Agent Sales Accelerator program. My course is approved by the State of Connecticut, and it’s offered in partnership with the #1 real estate school in Connecticut, Real Estate University.

To make it ridiculously easy for people just starting out, I created a package deal, the New Agent Sales Accelerator, which combines the 60-hour Connecticut real estate course AND my advanced Sell It Like Serhant Course at a discounted price. My Sell It Like Serhant Course is an extensive training program for agents of all levels that will guide you every step of the way after getting your license. It includes all of the exact templates, techniques, and tips that I use to close deals, generate leads, and bring in billions of dollars of business. It also comes with members-only access to my newsletters and social media pages, where you can network with other agents. If you’re looking to save money, I highly recommend you go for this package

Take the Connecticut Real Estate Salesperson Exam

Once you’ve completed a qualifying Connecticut real estate practices and principles course, you will apply to PSI Exams Online to be approved for the Connecticut real estate salesperson exam. You’ll submit a notarized application, including a certificate of completion from your approved 60-hour course, and a fee. When you’re approved, you’ll be sent an “Examination Eligibility Postcard” and instructions on how to schedule the Connecticut real estate licensure exam with PSI. From that point, you have a year of unlimited attempts to take and pass the exam.

The Connecticut real estate salesperson exam has two portions: “General,” and “State”. The General portion takes about 120 hours to complete and the State portion takes about 45 minutes. Be sure to read and follow all of the guidelines in the Candidate Information Bulletin you receive when you register, including what you can and can’t bring with you on test day (don’t forget your ID!). The content of the Connecticut real estate salesperson exam is based on the information in the 60-hour course. So if you feel good about what you learned in the course, you’re ready for the exam.

You’ll find out if you pass or fail immediately after the test. Then, you’ll have two years from the date you pass to activate your license.

Find A Licensed Real Estate Broker In Connecticut To Sponsor You

You took the course! You passed the state exam! Now you need a real estate broker licensed in Connecticut to sponsor you. The sponsoring broker co-signs your application for licensure and provides guidance during your first year as a real estate agent. This is required by Connecticut in order to apply for a license. But, you’re also making a big decision about where you want to start your career when you pick your first brokerage.

When I first started out, I regretted not joining a team. I tried to do it all on my own and I realized how much support a new real estate agent needs, especially in the first year. So, I recommend you find a sponsor who is available to answer questions, wants to serve as a mentor, and (most importantly) has a team that you can join. Go to open houses, look at social media profiles, and ask around. There are plenty of brokers who are looking for entry-level agents at any given time.

Time to make this all official. Apply for your Connecticut real estate license online. Follow the instructions for both yourself and your sponsoring broker in order to complete the application. You’ll need to submit the original copies of your test results for both portions of the exam, so be sure to make copies to keep for your own reference. Your broker will sign the forms, you’ll pay the fee, you’ll get approved, and then you’re ready to start selling!

My New Agent Accelerator Has Everything You Need

I started in real estate alone. I didn’t have a team, I didn’t have a mentor, I had NO money, and I had no idea what to do. Now, I sell billions of dollars in real estate every year. My best advice to new agents: Don’t make this harder than it has to be – take all the help you can get.

Here’s a breakdown of the tools I offer in my New Agent Sales Accelerator package:

The Accelerator package includes TWO professional programs at a special price:

  1. My state-required 60-hour Connecticut real estate principles and practices course.
  2. My Sell It Like Serhant Course, an advanced toolkit featuring all of my templates and sales techniques

I came up with the Accelerator to give new agents everything they need to get their Connecticut real estate license AND learn how to be crazy good at sales. Why? Because I remember how it felt to be in your shoes, and I wish I had someone offering me the information I’m offering you. The information and tools you’ll gain in the Sell It Like Serhant Course will easily put you five years ahead of your competitors – five years ahead of the knowledge I had when I was at your level. Imagine starting your real estate career five years ahead of where I was, and with all the tools in my toolkit?! Anything is possible…

All that’s left to do now is

Get your Connecticut Real Estate License!

Ready, Set, GO!
